The purpose of this essay is to present a clear overview for students of the Holy Scriptures regarding the dogma of the Trinity. I have based this research by delving into the very ancient origins of triads, which are the oldest vestiges of the way of grouping gods for the ancient religions of yesteryear. So our first approach to the Trinity is studying the triads, from their most ancient origins in different cultures.

Our analysis begins in Mesopotamia, in majestic Babylon the divine triads rise, then they move on to Egypt, Greece and Rome. In the first centuries of the Catholic Church, the concept of triads began to merge to form a divine trinity. And to this end the first Fathers of the Church contributed in the different councils, also influenced by Greek philosophy.

Although it was not an easy task to install the dogma in the Roman Church, more than 900 years of disputes and conflicts had to pass in order to give shape to what we know today as the Divine Trinity. In this task, there was a man who contributed to the formation and defense of the Trinitarian dogma, Augustine of Hippo, author of "The Trinity." The content of this book is a defense of the dogma against those who did not accept it.

In this essay, we will expose the most relevant positions defended by Augustine of Hippo and we will refute them with the support of the Holy Scriptures, not clinging to a single text, but doing a thorough study of the entire context of the expositions that are in The Holy Scripture.

We also add the texts most used by defenders of the Trinitarian dogma, which we call countertexts. Each countertext is subjected to a serious study, for which the use of different revisions of the Holy Scriptures is used, in order to find the oldest terms and shed greater clarity in the exposition of the verses taken.
